Rockstar Games has presented, for antoher year, the world’s most
important track bike criterium, the Red Hook Criterium Championship Series 2016. Again, and for the second year in a row, the four cities that hosted the event in 2015 were host cities again:
– New York (Brooklyn): April 30
– London: July 9
– Barcelona: August 27
– Milan: October 1
This is the ninth edition of this unique championship, devoted to fixed-gear lovers. Racers, both professional and amateur ones, compete in the different competitions getting points in the four host cities. The competitions are held on urban circuits, finals tend to be held at night and participants are riding track bikes (fixed-gear bikes, without brakes) riding on a very complex circuit.
Los campeones del año pasado 2015, de la serie masculina Ivan Ravaioli (Equipo Cinelli Chrome, Italia) y la campeona de la serie femenina, Ainara Elbusto (Conor WRC, España) volverán este año para intentar revalidar sus títulos. El equipo Raw Santafixie Team, con los fichajes de Francisca Campos y Marco Hita, asistirá a las cuatro pruebas.
This year’s champions have been Colin Strickland (Allez-Allez Specialized, United States) in the men’s category and Ash Duban (Affinity Cycles, United States) in the women’s. Our RAW SANTAFIXIE TEAM also entered the competition, represented by Francisca Campos and Marco Hita. After the four events, our friend Francisca finished amongst the top 10 performers this year.
