This is how our office and warehouse look right now.
Yesterday, March 10, 2020 at about 2:30 pm, a large explosion at a chemical storage and distribution company very close to our facilities caused a shower of large cement debris, iron elements and other objects.
A total of 3 large metal objects fell in our facilities: 2 in the warehouse and one more in the office, causing great damage and holes in our roofs and ceilings. Luckily, all our workers were able to get out practically unharmed, on their own feet and quite scared. Unfortunately, in another warehouse of the same business complex we had to mourn the death of one of its workers.
Right now the authorities are assessing the damage to the building to allow us to gain access and start work again. This step may take a few hours or a few days, so if you have a pending order to be shipped we ask for a little patience and understanding for the situation we are facing. We will try to get back to normal little by little.
Our customer service team continues to work normally, you can contact us at the usual email addresses and we will respond as soon as possible. As for the warehouse, it will be operational again as soon as we get permission from the authorities to go back to work.
Finally, we would like to wish a speedy recovery to the 19 injured and our deepest condolences to the family and friends of the deceased.
It’s just a puncture. We’re Santafixie.
